Royal Canadian Legion 89th year

This year is the 89th year of the Royal Canadian Legion as well as our local Morden Legion Branch #11.  In conjunction with Legion week which is September 21st – September 26th there are activities throughout the week.


  • Tuesday evening we will have local music night. Wednesday evening there will be a pool tournament.  Both of these activities kick off at 7pm in the clubroom.  Thirsty Thursday & Pizza evening plus we will have a fun crib tournament which gets underway at 7 pm.


  • On Friday we will have our regular meat draw starting at 5:30. Then at 8:00 pm there is a social in the hall and at 10:00 pm we will pick the winner from our BBQ raffle, 1st prize – BBQ with a full propane tank, 2nd prize – $500.00 Co-op gift card, 3rd prize $100.00 Co-op gift card.  Tickets can be purchased at the Legion.


  • Don’t forget to wear red on Friday.  “Red Friday” is an initiative started by families of military personnel who are serving in active duty.  It is a way to honour those men and women who are serving our country.


  • To wrap up the week of activities, there will be a Cribbage Tournament Saturday at 1:00 pm.  Plus we have Meat draw at 5:30, Bingo at 6:00 and Lucky Card draw at 7:00 pm. Guests are welcome to attend all of the mentioned activities. Come and check us out.
